Founded in 2002 by the husband-and-wife team of Mike & Sue Sonia, SMA embodies the true meaning of "family run."  Raising 2 children of their own in the karate community who became black belts and teachers as well, they understand the challenges of balancing family, activities, and work.  In addition to their extensive martial arts experience, both have masters degrees and leadership training, as well as certifications in radKIDS and RAD Women's personal safety and self defense programs.
